Hyperliquid Trader Tracker: PnL Cohorts and Wallet Profiles
The Hyperliquid trader tracker groups wallets with an open perp position into 6 PnL cohorts and opens any address as a full trader profile.
Hyperliquid leaderboards show you who is making money. They do not tell you whether the most profitable traders and the wallets getting rekt are betting on the same side of the market.
The Hyperliquid trader tracker groups wallets that hold an open perp position into 6 PnL cohorts, so you can compare how each group is positioned across markets. It also opens any address as a full trader profile, down to its round-trip trades.
All signed-in GoldRush users have access to the Hyperliquid trader tracker. To see what it offers before signing in, visit the public overview.
What the Hyperliquid Trader Tracker Is
The Hyperliquid trader tracker is one view that zooms from the whole market down to a single trader.
Widest is the overview, where every wallet holding an open perp position is sorted into 1 of 6 PnL cohorts, so you can see which groups lean long and which lean short.
Pick a cohort and the view narrows to the markets that group is in, and the wallets carrying the most size.
Pick a wallet and you land on its profile: what it holds now, what it is risking, and every trade it has closed.
What Problem It Solves
3 questions are hard to answer from Hyperliquid's public data.
Where is the money actually positioned? A leaderboard is a list of names at a moment in time. It will not tell you which markets those wallets are in, how much size each group carries, or whether that positioning is building or unwinding.
Is this wallet good, or just recently lucky? Current positions are easy to read. Trading behaviour is not. Win rate, holding time, how deep the drawdowns run: none of it is a field you can fetch.
How much risk is it carrying right now? Leverage, margin usage and distance from liquidation decide whether a position survives a move. Hyperliquid does not serve any of them. Each is a ratio you build from account state, and each definition has to be right.
The Hyperliquid trader tracker answers all 3.
What You Had to Do Before
There were 3 routes, and each one had a ceiling.
Call the public Hyperliquid API yourself. POST api.hyperliquid.xyz/info serves account state, open orders and fills for free, at 1,200 request weight per minute per IP address. That is plenty for one wallet and nowhere near enough for a few thousand. Hyperliquid's own userFills also returns at most 2,000 fills per wallet, so a win rate computed from it describes the last few days, not the wallet.
Read a public dashboard. These answer "who is up and what are they holding" well, but they cannot hand the numbers back. The figures come from the dashboard's own indexer with its own definitions, so you cannot pull one into your own analysis or check how it was built.
Build the indexer. Subscribe to the fill stream, keep every fill, reconstruct positions, roll them into trades, store the result. It works, and it is a pipeline you now own.
The Hyperliquid trader tracker is the third route without the pipeline.
The Overview: Six PnL Cohorts
The overview groups wallets by total PnL over a window you pick: all-time, 30 days, 7 days or 24 hours. The 6 cohorts and their boundaries are fixed.
Each row shows the cohort's wallet count, its long and short notional, a sentiment label, and a sparkline of net positioning, long minus short, over time.
Sentiment is one number with a label on it: the long share of open notional, long divided by long plus short. It sorts into 9 bands, from Extremely Bearish under 20% long to Extremely Bullish at 80% or more, with 47% to 53% as Neutral. The same bands label a cohort, a market inside a cohort and a single wallet, so the word means the same thing on every screen.
Read down the Sentiment column to see whether the Extremely Profitable cohort and the Rekt cohort are leaning the same way or against each other.
The window you pick is held in the page URL, so a view is a link you can send.
The Cohort Drill-Down: Markets, Then Wallets
Open a cohort for its totals: wallet count, long, short, long share, and how many wallets are in profit or loss on their open positions.
Below that sits a chart of its long and short notional over time, then its top markets. Each market carries its own long and short notional, its long share and a sentiment label from the same 9 bands, so you can see which markets are carrying the cohort's conviction and which are split.
Last come the cohort's largest wallets by position value, with their bias, unrealized PnL and the coins they hold. The columns sort, and every wallet links straight to its own profile.
The Trader Profile: One Address, in Full
A search box sits at the top of every screen. Paste any 0x address and the profile opens on account and risk. Account value is split into perps, spot and staked equity, next to leverage, margin usage, free margin, distance from liquidation and a long/short bias.
PnL charts cover PnL, realized PnL, unrealized PnL and account value over 24H, 7D, 30D and all time. A calendar of daily realized PnL sits next to them.
The derived figures come next: longest win streak, win rate, average and median trade duration, and a trading style read off the median duration, from scalper under 15 minutes to position trader past 30 days. A separate 30-day read covers max drawdown, Sharpe and Sortino.
Then come 8 tables: positions, balances, orders, fills, round-trip trades, TWAP orders, transfers and per-asset performance. Live state refreshes every 15 seconds while the profile is open.
The last 5 traders you opened stay in the sidebar.
What This Unlocks
Research teams can read how each PnL cohort is positioned, market by market, instead of inferring it from a ranking of wallets.
Trading desks can open any address and check its risk, PnL history and round-trip trades before acting on it.
Analysts can compare the positioning of the profitable cohorts against the losing cohorts in the same market, on one screen.
Builders who want the same data inside their own product can go to the GoldRush Hyperliquid Info API that the Hyperliquid trader tracker reads.
Closed trades come from GoldRush's full completed-trade history, which is what the win rate, trade count and trade durations on a profile are built from.
